Now they can either directly enter the data into that list via the list form, they (or yourself) can make a Form somewhere else to do it with automations, or they can even use grid view to paste values from an excel sheet if that's what they're using!īetter yet, if the permissions are all good, they should be able to fit that into their own automations, and you will be able to set up your own flows to act upon New or modified list items in the list! Inside the site, make a 'feeder' SharePoint list which has all the data headings that you want from them, in the exact format that you want it in. They'll enjoy the 'special' service that it gives them, and once you have that site you can use it for lots of things. This would ensure that the data is *exactly* how you want it.Ģ - Bespoke, Shared, SharePoint Site + ListĪ better (and more appeasing way for the people sending the data) would be to create and share a hub-site directly with them, think of it like creating a Teams group that's for an external party (because it's literally that!). What you could do is create a Microsoft, or better, a Cognito, form, and say that you have changed your process and this is how things are now brought into your system for this particular data flow. I just had a couple of ideas how you could frame this, and improve the information management all around, here, eliminating the need for copious, potentially badly formatted, emails. ![]() but without any set in stone way to 'enforce' it (a strong word, but I really mean 'validate'). Hmm, it's not going to be an easy task, since if they're just doing things how they want to do them you can't tell them how to format it.
